As an Air Force lawyer, Doug Murdock gained first-hand experience with complex software development and technology integration. In the civilian world, he uses this knowledge to assess the legal impacts of the interdependency technology creates between businesses and the government. Says Murdock, "We are rapidly entering a time when everything and everyone will be included as a node on a network, so vigilant maintenance of software and information systems is crucial."

Murdock concentrates in government contracts, ethics and procurement integrity, providing experienced local counsel for companies doing business with the Federal or state government in Hawai'i. To help clients build and maintain solid reputations for business ethics and integrity, Murdock provides seminars and professional programs. He also helps government contractors establish and evaluate internal programs to comply with business conduct requirements.

"I have seen many examples of leaders who hope a bad situation doesn't get worse and end up suffering death by a thousand cuts. Proactively promoting your ethical culture and responding aggressively in a potential crisis situation are crucial to the health and survival of every enterprise."
