Ing's practice focuses on helping businesses, nonprofits and individuals resolve their disputes, prevent future ones and get back to business. Her litigation and dispute resolution practice covers areas of law that impact businesses and businesspeople on a daily basis including contracts, commercial transactions, leases, employment, real estate, creditor's rights and bankruptcy law. She has also devoted her energies to helping strengthen Hawai`i's communities as a board member of non-profits (University of Hawaii Foundation, among others) and Hawai`i-based companies such as Island Holdings. She is the current President of the Hawai`i State Bar Association and has been recognized in Best Lawyers™, Chambers USA and Benchmark Litigation.
Representative Cases
- Defended four seafood wholsesale companies in patent infringement suits involving a patent for processing and preservation of fresh fish; defended two at trial and negotiated two settlements
- Defended judgment debtor in a multi-million dollar fraudulent conveyance trial
- Arbitrated various business disputes in the areas of commercial leasing, valuation of partnership interests, valuation of property insurance claim, and non-competition agreements
- Represented a U.S. clothing retailer in a class action brought by Saipan garment workers
- Represented receivers in complex partnership disputes
- Represented bankruptcy trustees in business reorganization and bankruptcy cases, including a multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme
- Represented employers in employment discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination cases
- Testified as an expert witness on workplace investigations in employment discrimination and retaliation trials
