• Recently vacated six-figure judgment against a joint venture partner in a business dispute based on alleged alter ego violations.  (2011)
• Successfully lobbied against initiatives that would have placed liability on publishers and authors for trespass by readers of books, guides and websites on Hawai`i and which infringed on their first amendment rights.  (2011)
• Second chaired and obtained a defense verdict in a month-long, highly publicized federal securities fraud trial seeking damages in excess of $500 million from one of the largest landowners in Hawai`i.  (2009)
• Second chaired and won a defense decision after a trial involving million-dollar-plus damages resulting from alleged fraudulent transfers.  (2009)
